How to connect 3Chat AI to Instagram via ManyChat (Official Standard Version)

Summary: Give your Instagram DMs AI-powered service capabilities. Based on the latest backend update from 3Chat, we have simplified the integration process into a standard 4-step procedure using official templates.

Configuration Entry: 3Chat Backend → [Channels] → ManyChat

Step 1: Create/Check ManyChat Account

  • Ensure you have a ManyChat account and that your Instagram account is successfully connected.
  • If you haven’t registered yet, click the link in “Step 1” on the interface to go to the registration page.

Step 2: Authorize ManyChat (Allow 3Chat to Control ManyChat)

  • Purpose: Allow 3Chat to send AI-generated replies back to users.
  1. In the ManyChat Backend, click Settings → Extensions → API
  2. Generate a new API Key and copy the Key. Direct Link.
  3. Go to 3Chat Backend, find the API Key at the bottom of the interface, and paste the Key into the input box.
  4. Click [Save] (Save and Sync).

Step 3: Install the 3Chat Official Template

Select the channel template you want to integrate and install it into your ManyChat workspace. Templates are currently available for WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, and Telegram.

Step 4: Let 3Chat AI Take Over All Messages

  1. Open Settings → Channels → Messenger → Default Reply → Select Existing.

  1. Select the configured flow.
  2. Open the selected default workflow, click the trigger node (the first node), and turn on the Default Reply switch.

  3. In the new card that opens, select the trigger time as every time.

  4. At this point, you can achieve: Automatically take over all WhatsApp DM messages.

Done! :tada: Your Instagram DMs are now taken over by AI. Try sending a message to your account to test if the AI can reply instantly.
