How to Connect 3Chat Private Domain Customer Operations in WorkBuddy

Feature Description

Once configured, you can use 3Chat’s customer lookup, relationship inquiry, and message sending capabilities within WorkBuddy. The available customers and channels depend on the configuration of the 3Chat account space associated with the API Key.

Prerequisites

Please prepare the following before starting:

  • The latest version of WorkBuddy
  • The API Key corresponding to your 3Chat account space
  • The 3Chat Private Domain Customer Operations skill pack

For instructions on obtaining the API Key, please refer to: How to Get a 3Chat API Key.

API Keys are sensitive credentials. Please do not display the full key in public tutorials, screenshots, or chats.

Step 1: Configure the 3Chat MCP Connector

  1. Open WorkBuddy and navigate to Experts · Skills · Connectors on the left sidebar.
  2. Select Connectors at the top of the page.
  3. Click Custom Connector in the top-right corner.
  4. In the “MCP Service Management” window, click Configure MCP.
  5. Paste the following JSON configuration into the editing area:

Replace YOUR_3CHAT_API_KEY with the API Key obtained from the 3Chat user backend.

For instructions on obtaining the API Key, please refer to: How to Get a 3Chat API Key.

Note:

  • Ensure there is a single space between Bearer and the API Key.
  • Do not include angle brackets or add extra quotes.
  • The API Key determines which 3Chat account space is accessed.
  • The accessible customer data and channels depend on the authorization and connection settings of the 3Chat Agent within that space.

Click Save when finished. If 3chat-customer-growth appears in the list with a green status indicating that tools are enabled, the connector configuration was successful.

Step 2: Upload the 3Chat Skill Pack

  1. Return to the Experts · Skills · Connectors page.
  2. Select Skills at the top.
  3. Click Add Skill in the top-right corner, then select Upload Skill.
  4. Select the 3Chat Private Domain Customer Operations skill pack and upload it.

Step 3: Connectivity Test

Create a new WorkBuddy task and enter:

After WorkBuddy successfully loads the connector and skill, it will display available capabilities. It is recommended to send a read-only query to verify functionality, for example:

You can also test:

  • Analyze what a specific customer has recently discussed with us.
  • Query the customer’s current intent and deal stage.

For the initial test, it is recommended to use the customer lookup and relationship analysis capabilities first. When involving actual message sending, please confirm the customer, channel, and message content before executing.
